Cherry Hills International School is seeking a qualified and experienced Primary School Teacher with a strong academic and professional background to join our academic team.
The successful candidate will plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons, maintain a positive and well-managed classroom, assess learner progress, and support the academic and personal development of every learner.
We are looking for a confident, dependable educator with proven primary classroom experience, strong knowledge of the Cambridge Primary curriculum, and a commitment to maintaining high academic and professional standards.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons in line with the Cambridge Primary curriculum.
- Maintain a positive, disciplined and well-managed classroom environment.
- Assess, record and report on learner progress effectively.
- Prepare high-quality lesson plans, teaching materials and learning activities.
- Support learners with different abilities and learning needs.
- Communicate professionally with parents, colleagues and school leadership.
- Participate actively in school activities, meetings and events.
- Uphold the school’s policies, values and safeguarding standards.
What we are looking for
- Minimum of 2 years’ primary classroom teaching experience.
- Strong knowledge and practical experience of the Cambridge Primary curriculum.
- Excellent lesson-planning, classroom-management and assessment skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional, dependable and committed to high academic standards and learner development.
- Traceable professional references.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Primary Education from a recognised or accredited university.
- Valid Teaching Council of Zambia registration.
